Happy Birthday to our little Ellie who is growing up way toooooo fast! We will be back home in Ontario Canada for her birthday this year, now how special is that? I excited to see her and all our other wonderful grand girls!
Ok, I am trying something different here! I always give my father a serious card for father's day. This time I am trying something different! I found a cute stamp from "sexy seniors" called "Big Daddy". So, I put it on my dad's card. I sure hope he finds in funny!
This past summer, we were so fortunate to have Alyssa & Brianne (granddaughters) visiting us from Ontario Canada. What an fantastic trip we had! We took a trip to the Oregon Coast and we had a blast playing on the beach and looking for sand dollars. All four of us enjoyed our hunt for sand dollars and found some really nice ones too! During our hunt, I took a couple of pictures that I would like to share on my blog. My blog is mostly my paper craft but I love these pictures so much that I want to share them. Hope you think they are as nice as I think they are!
Yep, our Alyssa is growing way too fast. Alyssa was visiting us this past summer from Ontario Canada and really enjoyed coloring and making things in my craft room. I thought she would like yet another homemade card that I have done for her. This is a stamp that I just got from "Whiff of Joy" and I can see it is a stamp that I will be able to use for many occasions. Happy Birthday to our Alyssa!
Wow, what a real challenge it is to make a card with directions of what needs to be on the card in order for the entry. What fun also! This is "Tilda & her puppy" that I enjoy coloring so much. Magnolia stamps are so fun! I have a sister in law that just lost her Dad and has had a few years of bad luck, so this card will be going to her. Thanks for visiting my blog!
My father in law enjoys fishing so much that I decided to make him a Fisherman Birthday Card. Once again, I have used Mo's Digital Pencil stamp. Love her stamps!
This is a close up of my copic coloring of the Fisherman.
Wood is so different to do and kind of fun. I always seem to get a different color of wood after every attempt I make. This boat was used with E29, E25, E35 & E31.
Yep, my second "Blog Challenge" Yikeee :) I decided to enter "Baby It's Cold Outside" card that I made. The Challenge is a great place to enter your work and look at some great art work as well. Check it out
Ok, I tried something new this year. I made a few calendars this year and sent them out instead of Christmas Cards. I put magnetic on the back so it can sit on a fridge or file cabinet. It was really fun making these and I am open to what everyone thinks. Would you be happy if you got one of these in your mail box or would you think, "oh no, not another item for the fridge" :)
Yep, another Christmas card! I think I have made about 40 cards this Christmas season. It must because the cold weather and snow came early and just got in feeling like Christmas.
I decided this year I was going to give my long distant Granddaughters gift cards. So, I made some bifold cards and put pockets inside to hold the gift cards. I made 5 of them today alone. So easy and so much fun to do!
This card has been entered into the Sketch Something Challenge along with so many other beautiful cards!
Well, this is my very first time to enter a "Card Challenge". There are so many beautiful entries to the challenge! So many talented card makers! This card was fun to make and I really don't expect it to win, but what the heck.
It was a very "Priceless" time for me to be able to sit and watch Brianne sleep in my arms after she danced her night away at her Mother's wedding! This moment is a time that I will cherish for life!
This picutre was fun to do! With the awsome template of "La France" that I purchased at the Portland Oregon Craft Show, it made it easier to put together and fun!
Recently I have the honor of joining a group of wonderful ladies to a weekend of scrapbooking, fun and tons of laughter! I even managed to get 12 pages done for my grand girls scrap books! I hope to post some pictures of the "PEEPS" soon! This is my Brianne just last year having fun in the snow.
Yep, another Christmas Card finished! Soon I will have all my cards done and ready to be mailed. I really enjoy sending Christmas Cards out as much as receving them.... "hint, hint".
My Daughter is a "Brown Owl" in Windsor Ontario for a group of little Brownies and enjoys this very much. The Brownie uniforms are navy blue and orange. Her birthday is coming and thought this would be a great birthday card for her. I can't wait to see what she thinks of this idea! Happy Birthday Jen!
Well here I am again in only October and making Christmas cards! This is just not like me but I have really been feeling like it is time for Christmas. This is a new product that I have tried using calling "Flower Soft". I put glitter sprinkles on top of the door and on the step. It pops out so good when you are looking at the card itself and not just a picture.
I always seem to struggle to make a masculine card. I LOVE fall and thought I would combine my love for fall with my love for my Dad. Happy Birthday to a awsome Dad who means so much to me! It's safe to put this on my blog even though Dad's birthday ins't until Oct. 1st, he doesn't use the internet or computer :)
Today for some reason I was just in the mood to make a couple of Christmas cards. This is not like me at all but I have to say, I did enjoy making them! It just seems like as soon as the kids go back to school, Christmas is just around the corner.
Hello and Welcome!
My name is Joanie Holmes and I live in a little town called La Center WA. I am married with five adult children and seven beautiful grandchildren. I am a proud Canadian from Windsor Ontario and plan to retire in Windsor with my many dear friends and family come 2016.
I am married with two Maltese babies, Shelly and Mindy. My husband is so supportive of my time that I have to spend in my craft room. I am a full time sales representative so my time is limited. My craft room is truly my stress releaser! I LOVE my Copic Markers and you will probably see that by looking through my blog.
